This little pitbull puppy (approx. 5 weeks) was thankfully rescued from Franschhoek where she was severely neglected. She is SO tiny but so playful. She will be staying with Carol for a few days & will be up for adoption in a few weeks through Rescue is Life ❤️

We dropped off birthday cupcakes this morning at The Gatjie for one of our Cope with Hope Juniors - Raees, who turned 2 years old yesterday 🎉 A very big thank you to Jessamine Katherine Ward who reached out to Cope with Hope & offered to bake these wonderful cupcakes for Raees

Yesterday afternoon The Dream Machine (run by Cope with Hope) took Skip to Sea Point Promenade. His dream was to get out of the Gatjie for a few hours. Even battling advanced pancreatic cancer he was full of smiles & laughter. We chatted, had coffee & took him down onto the sand.

I will personally be making sandwiches for the full 24hr event. This is in honor of my friend of 22 years Marlon, who passed away June 8th 2024 due to a severe stroke. He would always say people need to spread love like butter. Let's do this!

Happy 8th birthday to one of our Cope with Hope Juniors -Esethu 🎉 We dropped off 24 home made birthday cupcakes for the birthday girl! Thank you to my friend Susan who runs her own home based baking business called Sublime by Sue for making the cupcakes for our birthday girl 🎉

This past weekends 5th Cope with Hope Easter EGGstravaganza was a huge success. 300 party packs, hot food, a million extra treats, our annual egg & spoon race as well as our Easter egg hunt. Everyone in The Gatjie & St George's Home for Girls had an amazing weekend 🎉

A busy afternoon for Cope with Hope.... We handed out 11 black bags full of kids & women's clothing, shoes & bedding. We also spoilt our Cope with Hope Juniors & Teen-2-Teen Youth Program Teens by handing out Easter egg party packs. We also handed out dog food to dog owners 🙏🏻

Cope with Hope has started preparing & handing out hot food to the 200+ residents in The Gatjie as well as our homeless friends in Diep River & Plumstead. We are currently running our Food Drive in conjunction with our 5th Cope with Hope Winter Warm-Up.

There are 2 relatively new homeless ladies in Diep River. Cope with Hope bought lunch from a local eatery & treated them to lunch at one of the local parks this afternoon. We listened to their story & got to know them. This is what we do. We care.

Another cold & wet day for Cope with Hope yesterday: 4 pots of vegetable soup handed out to over 200 people. 48 birthday cupcakes handed to the birthday girls. Some cough syrup administered to a sick 6 year old. Rain or shine, we're there for the.

Preparation has begun for tomorrow's big hot food hand out for our friends in The Gatjie & the homeless 🍽️ Ambrosia Catering is busy peeling, chopping & cooking the amazing food that will be served tomorrow. Perfect food for the very cold weather forecast for tomorrow 🙏🏻
