Emer Lenihan and Michael Maple from Cork City Ballet will perform the exotically beautiful pas de deux from ‘Le Corsaire’, at the 170 year celebration at Cork Opera House next Saturday, 22nd March.

A 170th birthday black-tie gala concert is guaranteed on an overflowing bill supported by the Opera House Concert Orchestra, conducted by John O’Brien. The gala will also feature Emer Lenihan and Michael Maple from Cork City Ballet performing the pas de deux from ‘Le Corsaire’.

It’s so lovely being back in Covent Garden this evening to see Melissa Hamilton in ‘Romeo & Juliet’. She is one of the brightest jewels in The Royal Ballet, and her recent (long overdue!) promotion to principal dancer is richly deserved. 🩰
