This week 12 of our firefighters completed the first week of an Officer Development Course – MFSI 1 The course put them through their paces with realistic, hands-on scenarios to help build their experience, decision-making skills, & confidence for when real-life incidents happen

Today, as we lower our flag to half mast, we join in mourning the passing of Garda Kevin Flately Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones as he is laid to rest. We also stand in solidarity with our colleagues in An Garda Síochána during this time of great loss

We are currently attending a fire at a recycling centre. 4 fire appliances are on scene working to bring the incident under control We ask the public to avoid the area to allow emergency services to carry out their work safely. Updates will follow as the situation develops
