PERSPECTIVE Joshua Rabinowitz, Caroline Bartman & Tara TeSlaa (Princeton Chemistry) provide a review of techniques for measuring, analyzing & interpreting metabolic flux in intact mammals, & how they can be applied to investigate #metabolism in vivo. #TBT 🔙 nature.com/articles/s4225…

Why do I study the turquoise killifish brain? 🐟 + 🧠 = ? Because it spontaneously degenerates with age, resembling neurodegenerative diseases! Read all about it in our latest review: doi.org/10.1016/j.arr.… Full paper: authors.elsevier.com/c/1hTv85aZoHgB… Leibniz-Institut für Alternsforschung (FLI) Dario Riccardo Valenzano🐟🦠🤌🏽

Today Cell, Cancer Cell and Cell Reports Medicine are pleased to publish the 1st wave of Pan-#Cancer multiomics papers looking at over 1000 patients across 10 #tumor types from National Cancer Institute Clinical Proteomic Tumor Analysis Consortium #CPTAC (1/n) Cancer Cell Cell Reports Medicine #openaccess

Check out the approach Karin Mitosch came up with to directly measure pathogen metabolism for the first time inside host cells using isotope labelling, LC-MS and metabolic modelling. I’m happy to share our review of the pentose phosphate pathway with a focus on human health and disease. Thanks to my co-authors Josh Rabinowitz, Jing Fan Morgridge Metabolism, and Markus Ralser Ralser Lab for contributing their expertise!

Super excited to host Ozgun Gokce at Leibniz-Institut für Alternsforschung (FLI)!

I am thrilled that our team Kasper Fugger and Pedro Beltrao received a HFSP Research Grant. We will have loads of fun exploring the chemical space of bioactive modified nucleotides and their modifying/detoxifying enzymes! We will soon look for a Postdoc (Chemical Biology)!

Check out this opportunity...fantastic lab Melike Dönertaş Leibniz-Institut für Alternsforschung (FLI)

How cells deal with aneuploidy and protein expression..incredible to see how this project grew! Many congrats Julia Ralser Lab and all involved 👏
