So proud of our young people for their courage in stepping out and advocating for the rights of young people. They identified real issues for local young people and are calling on voters to consider the rights of young people before casting their vote. #Election2024

What's the one thing Leo Varadkar and Michael Healy-Rae agree on? The Greens deliver. #VoteGreen #1 - for the only party with a proven record of delivering for climate action and nature restoration. #GreensDeliver #GE24

We are deeply saddened today to hear of the loss of John Goodwillie. John was a dedicated campaigner and an institution in the party. He worked tirelessly behind the scenes to advance the party’s principles and will be hugely missed. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.

Purchasing derelict sites is climate action. Funds in place thanks to Green Minister Malcolm Noonan. An A+ grade for implementation is better than an A for promises on paper.

We're in the process of taking down the last of the posters, but if anyone spots any rogue posters that are still left up, please let me know!

Parts of this are a hard listen, but show the importance of harm reduction, and focusing on the person who needs support. It saves lives! In Ireland this means opening long delayed Safer Injection Facilities, it means decriminalisation of the person. thisamericanlife.org/809/the-call

There are plenty of cases like this where the RTB can't or won't take action. The promise of these quasi-judical bodies was quicker cheaper justice, a promise that hasnt been delivered on. There is a serious need for reform, of the RTB, and others too! independent.ie/irish-news/ten…

Having a manifesto that makes lots of promises on active travel means nothing if your councillors oppose active travel on the ground irishcycle.com/2024/12/16/pro…

A lovely morning in Lansdowne Valley park planting trees. Trees supplied by Dublin city council, volunteers supplied by Drimnagh, Inchicore, and Bluebell. (In fairness, the DCC guys did a lot of the work too!)

From the Saharawi refugee camps, Greta Thunberg declares: The Sahrawi people have the right to self-determination, freedom, and dignity. They’ve been violently denied those rights. The world is watching in silence. I want to add my voice for Western Sahara liberation.

Obviously the best option would be for the council to renovate these cottages and use them for social housing. But if there are too many obstacles, let's sell them to people who will renovate them privately. People need homes, and the village needs an end to dereliction.

The big public transport projects, like Metrolink and DartWest that are sitting shovel-ready, need funding from the next government to go forward, this is no time to retreat from our climate commitments. Roderic O’Gorman TD #rtept

DUBLIN 8 PITCHES UPDATE: Dublin City Council have today confirmed that they've appointed Allies and Morrison architects to do a full masterplan for the Marrowbone Lane depot, which will include a full-size pitch. Great news - we'll keep on the pressure.

The Dublin Transport Plan is good for people, it's good for business and it will make Dublin an easier city to get around in. That's why it is vital it is implemented in full - which includes continued increased investment in expanding our public transport network across the city

A ceasefire in Gaza is good news, however what happens next is also important. After previous onslaughts Israel blocked essential supplies for rebuilding - this cannot be allowed to happen again. Long term, there will be no justice or real peace without ending the occupation.

For decades, we had the expertise and ambition to build public and affordable housing in Ireland but then we didn't. The incoming Government needs to ensure that happens again. To lower market rents, it's not just a matter of supply, it's also the right supply.
