Out checking the barn swallow nests today. Met six dog walkersβ€”only one clipped a lead back on when I mentioned the skylarks nesting in the adjacent field. And still the balls flew. Sigh 🎾 🐾 🐝

In sweltering heat, local farmers rolled up with equipment to help fence our new pollinator patch this weekend – protection also for the Anne Frank and Sycamore Gap trees, and a step towards reweaving wildlife corridors. Grateful for their quiet, generous kinship 🚜🌱🐝
