🎣🇮🇪 During a recent meeting with the EU Fisheries Commissioner in Castletownbere, I made it clear that a review of the Common Fisheries Policy is urgently required and disparities facing Irish fishermen must be addressed.

🖥️📱 As I recently wrote in the Irish Independent, it is easy to forget that data centres are necessities, not luxuries. I am focused in Brussels on developing policies that allow us to balance sustained economic growth with the future needs of Irish citizens.

🇪🇺💊In the European Parliament in Strasbourg today, I met with representatives from Medicines for Europe to discuss the Urban Wastewater Treatment Directive and legislation around patents for medicines in the EU.

🇮🇪🇺🇦 Delighted to meet with representatives from Kingspan to hear about the company’s groundbreaking sustainability work, leading efforts to accelerate a net-zero emission built environment, and its €280m investment in Lviv, Ukraine.

🇪🇺🇮🇪At the International Trade Committee this afternoon, the Mercosur trade deal was once again up for discussion. I reiterated my opposition to the proposed deal in its current form, on the basis that it lacks the proper enforcement mechanisms to ensure a level playing field.
