Craggs & Co are a County Durham-based producer of ancient grain products & flours, initially growing spelt, recently adding einkorn, emmer & rye to its range. Fine Food Digest spoke to Janet about the brand's origins, and the affect of COVID-19 ow.ly/4esV50zzuFe

What we got here then?....... Buckwheat, Spelt and Rye grain from our friends Craggs & Co just down the road in Sedgefield going in to today's mash. LUSH! 👌

Brewed a new beer today using Craggs & Co's lovely ancient grains. Some lush aromas from the mash tun, along with a lovely pancake like sweetness the three grains appear to add a nutty, earthy almost dryness to the wort. Eyes peeled for its release in 440ml can, late July.

HARVEST - SPELT SAISON. Brewed with Spelt, Rye and Buckwheat from Craggs & Co of Sedgefield, their ancient grain lends itself brilliantly to this old farmhouse style ale. They distinctly lend a nutty dryness to the finished beer which further accentuates the tarteness.
