This morning, all three Houses met separately, to consider who might be their House Captains for next year. The children in Year 5 delivered a speech for the other children to listen to and think about before they voted. This was a great example of pupil voice in action.

Pupils in Year 3LS were tasked with designing food for an artic explorer in their DT lesson this afternoon. The class decided that flapjacks were a good choice and they will be making their product later this week. #crescentschool #year3

Year 4 were treated to an expert bread making session in their DT lesson this morning courtesy of our very own Olive Catering Chef, Dawn. Everyone enjoyed mixing the dough ingredients together and then learning how to knead the dough correctly. #crescentschool #year4

Year 1 enjoyed a wonderful trip to Hatton Country Park this week. Pupils learned about farming life and the journey of food from farm to table. It was a memorable and thoroughly enjoyable day for them all. #crescentschool #year1

Crescent took part in the Rugby And East Warwickshire Primary Athletics. Together the children brought home 17 medals across all years and all disciplines, a super effort from them all at this always competitive event. #crescentschool #primaryathletics

Our marvellous Reception children have been exploring the topic of ‘Growing and Changing’ and as part of their studies this week they visited Stratford Butterfly Farm and saw the most amazing butterflies first-hand. #crescentschool #reception #stratfordbutterflyfarm

Pupils at Crescent School took part in a litter-pick. They went out into the local Bilton area and collected rubbish from the Recreation Ground, Main Street and St Mark’s Church areas, helping to make the streets around their school cleaner and greener. #crescentschool #greenteam

Yesterday, we had ‘Move up Morning’ and the children spent time in their new classrooms with their new teachers. 'Move up Morning' allows staff to answer questions, allay fears and ease the transition and there is always much excitement for the future bubbling around school.

This afternoon, we invited parents into school for our annual Open Book Afternoon. It’s a fantastic opportunity for the children to share their endeavours. We were delighted that so many of you were able to join us. #crescentschool #openbookafternoon

This morning, Mr Thackway hosted a debate with our Year 5 class in the hall. Pupils debated traffic problems in a town called Crossford. Our Year 6 class acted as town councillors and helped to ensure each side had their say. #crescentschool
