Nobody cares. It's past the point of no return. Franchise cricket is king. Players follow the money, understandably so. Can't blame them for the failures of their home board to properly monetize and promote their international T20 product.

This is so important. In other sports, multi-year guaranteed contracts give protection in case of injury. Almost all NGB cricket contracts are year to year, have no long term guarantee. If you get hurt, you're screwed. You are a fool if you turn down lucrative T20 franchise money
