P5 have kicked off their new Learning Journey, the Upstream Battle, by exploring what is marine litter, recording how long it takes for items to degrade and listening to the live lesson from Keep Scotland Beautiful about the Arrochar Litter Sink.

P6 have been exploring profit, loss and expense as part of Fairtrade. They were intrigued and surprised to learn about where the profits within a banana supply chain go to and discussed how they would possibly make it fairer so that they worker receives a better wage.

P7 Learning Journey has started with exploring what carbon footprint is. They have been calculating their own footprint by logging their energy usage, food consumption & mode of transport over the course of a week on Excel to help them with their STAT WARS Primary Engineer entry.

Some pupils have listened to engineer interviews. They have begun to identify characteristics to be employed in these roles and are hoping that the inventions they are learning about will inspire them for the “If you were an engineer what would you do?” contest Primary Engineer

Our amazing digital leaders led a Microbit lesson in P3A, showing them how to bring their Microbit to life 🤩 #CrookfurDigi #Masterclass

To conclude their Learning Journey, P5A and P5B have submitted their sculptors and artwork summaries that they created in groups and sent them off to Keep Scotland Beautiful for the Upstream Battle contest.
