Putting a fungicide out? Please check your pulse crop for #AscochytaBlight first. Im seeking AB on lentil, faba, & chickpea for GRDC projects. Samples without a recent spray are best for isolate collection. DM me for a paid return Express Post envelope Crop Watch SA

Looking forward to speaking at the Tooligie Pulse Day on 14th Sept. Pls bring along your #AscochytaBlight on lentil, faba or chickpea, & #sclerotinia on canola or pulses. They'll contribute to the SARDI isolate collection & multiple GRDC research investments Crop Watch SA

Hi SA #chickpea growers. Please see Melody's request for assistance. Alternatively if you're willing to assist, you can also DM me direct for a collection kit and paid return envelope. SARDI will isolate the pathogen and send the fungus to Melody 🦠 Crop Watch SA

How do we know what rust pathotypes are present in SA? Sydney Uni's Australian Cereal Rust Survey collects this data. SA 2022 Stripe rust results are still undergoing analysis, but based on varietal responses we are suspecting multiple pathotypes. sydney.edu.au/science/our-re…

Seeing some pink cereal heads in the paddock at this end of the season? This is likely opportunistic yeast growth from wet and humid conditions. These yeasts aren't pathogens and are acting similarly to field moulds growing on senesced plant tissue.

It's with mixed emotions that today is my last day at SARDI PIRSA. Been an honour to serve the SA pulse industry for ~9 yrs in RD&E Crop Watch SA But I'm super excited to join GRDC National Variety Trials (NVT) team at end July! I look forward to serving the grains industry in my new role 🌾🌱
