Palestinian man walks calmly in Hebron with his arms raised. The Israeli soldiers shoots him in the back. This happens all the time for a simple reason: The impunity the US & Europe provide Israel not only enables this, it encourages the steady increase of Israeli war crimes.

Excellent letter from Glenn Fitzpatrick in The Irish Times I’ve long thought that pol corrs focus too much on their take on the politics of an issue, and not on the substance or the wider public mood. We are told what we think and how we will react - and it’s often wildly inaccurate

I can't believe the Irish Independent would publish this, and on the same weekend that its main editorial is entitled: "Children of Gaza need more than just empty gestures". They also need Western media to show even a shred of responsibility as to what they publish.

Jesus Wept at the state of Irish commentary: Irish support for Palestine is “postcolonial vibes”; the US “protects our interests in military terms”; and FFG politicians “didn’t want to believe” IBEC - as opposed to finding IBEC’s argument unconvincing. irishtimes.com/podcasts/insid…

"The BBC World Service has compiled material on over 160 cases where children have been shot in Gaza, and found that in 95 cases the child was shot in the head or the chest. In most of these cases the victim was under 12 years old"

My conversation with Sean Moncrieff on Newstalk FM earlier. I argued that it is high time that we placed a full trade embargo on ALL Israeli goods and services. We are either serious about tackling genocide or we’re not. Listen back here. newstalk.com/podcasts/highl…

Anas al-Sharif was a popular, brave reporter - the frontline face of Israel's assault on Gaza City. This is why he was targeted. His was no longer a voice that Israeli authorities wanted telling the world about what happens in Gaza day in, day out. thecurrency.news/articles/19863…
