We can confirm a further three arrests have been made today ( March 16 ) in relation to a report of a racially-aggravated hate incident involving a boy being assaulted in Carlisle. That brings the total number of arrests made by officer to four. More: orlo.uk/htlhn

One male sentenced to 3 months imprisonment for racially aggravated online violence posted 72hrs ago. 2 other males now charged with separate online posts inciting racial hatred & violence towards police officers. We are not anti-protest Cumbria Police but we are anti-crime.

To colleagues reflecting on challenging times, just think of the little 8yr old girl in Carlisle city centre who spent her Saturday walking along police lines Cumbria Police giving out her chocolates and thanking police officers for keeping her safe. Keep the faith.
