It’s easy to explain when psychiatric meds help. It’s what everyone wants. Much harder to explain when they don’t work, even harder when they make things worse. I feel so responsible when it goes wrong

The recent BBC Panorama documentary on antidepressants is compelling watching for any doctor - particularly GPs and Royal College of General Practitioners - who prescribe the most antidepressants. bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episod…

After much deliberation and a week of soul searching Royal College of Psychiatrists have come up with a rehabilitation strategy for all of us harmed by drugs and ECT. Banana muffins. Sounds like another bananagate. Anyone have the recipie?Sarah P. Hancock, MS, CRC ♿ @PSSDSimon Fiona French, freedom is bliss JD Dr John Read

Dr Sue Cunliffe (MBchB honours) Royal College of Psychiatrists Sarah P. Hancock, MS, CRC ♿ @PSSDSimon Fiona French, freedom is bliss JD Dr John Read A person has a right to refuse muffin for therapy. A person does not have a right to refuse treatment for mental illness. If the state did not allow psychs to enslave their patients in the name of liberating them, institutional psychiatry would go the way of slavery.

I wish I was outside in the sunshine/gardening/baking /sewing or going on a 50 mile bike ride with my husband. But after doing a dog walk and a bit of tidying my ECT TBI has kicked in. So as usual I'm going to bed then I'll struggle through the rest of the day. That's destruction

Digbydogdrmum Sean Gilligan JD James Barnes MSc., MA Dr Sue Cunliffe (MBchB honours) ECT is often given to people suffering a storm of psych drugs and drug withdrawal on the back of recent life trauma/bereathment under coercive conditions. ECTs harms are denied. It's not depression. It's lack of care and compassion and aggressive, dangerous treatment.

World leading ECT specialist demonstrates dangerous ignorance. ECT creates electric fields which are highest and most dangerous in the hippocampus. Schwartz talks about electric currents at the surface. This man should not be giving ECT journals.lww.com/ectjournal/ful…

Dr Sue Cunliffe (MBchB honours) Schwartz is in the business of selling ECT machines with his partner, Abrams. Their interest in patient safety is clearly illustrated in this recent court report.
