The 25th Anniversary fireside chat last night was full of good company & reminiscing on the early days of Bandon. Thanks to Dave Axland, Rod Whitman, Keith Cutten, Bill Coore, Jim Urbina, & David McLay-Kidd for taking part in the evening & Matt Ginella for leading the discussion.

I had a great week at Bandon Dunes 25th Anniversary celebration, which included the opening of Whitman, Axland & Cutten’s Shorty’s, a 19 hole par 3 course at the far side of the resort. Some of the best greens on property in some insane dunescape. Preserve vs Shorty’s is a banging debate now!

Get ready golf world. I’ve just had a tour of the Cabot Pacific course site Cabot Revelstoke and it’s even more spectacular than the simulation seen here. Launch date is 2026.

Legit, high quality, fun golf puzzle is what you’ll find Brantford Golf & CC Thanks to their entire team and members who hosted GJAC today. Thank you to David Hearn & Keith Cutten for the Q&A sessions. Your time and insight was appreciated.

Take my word for it: Rod Whitman’s Cabot Pacific course Cabot Revelstoke, set to launch in 2026, will be the greatest mountain design since Stanley Thompson unveiled his Jasper Park Lodge and Banff Springs layouts in the 1920s: wp.me/p2CL05-3KC Simulation by Harris Kalinka

Here’s another Harris Kalinka rendering of the Cabot Pacific course Cabot Revelstoke, opening in 2026. Why I'm convinced it will be the greatest mountain design since Stanley Thompson unveiled his Jasper Park Lodge and Banff Springs layouts in the 1920s: wp.me/p2CL05-3KC

Growing up, Golf Club Atlas was instrumental in my evolution and interest in golf architecture. I long admired what Ran & John Morrissett, and later Ben Cowan-Dewar and Joe Androile, built for the years of interesting content and hundreds of interesting discussions in the forum.

A massive thank you to Keith Cutten (Keith Cutten) for a super interesting, entertaining talk on his career in golf course architecture.
