Cardiff University refuses to give @cardiffucu an assurance of no compulsory redundancies in 2025. In line with UCU Cymru policy, and in light of the cuts announced, on 14/2 we sent notice to the VC of our intention to ballot for industrial action. Ballot opens 24/2! #WeAreReady

Massive thanks to colleagues in UCU Cymru for the warm welcome to their 2025 Conference. Always good to meet with our Celtic cousins and share ideas. Solidarity to colleagues at Cardiff UCU✊🌱 who, like others here and across the UK, are facing threats to 400 jobs.

UCU Cymru has come a long way in the last 10 years, with more women members getting active in the union at branch, national and UK levels. There is still work to do but on IWD25, we are proud of the progress and and those who have proved a Women's place IS in the Union 💪 #IWD
