Welcome to Milwaukee, Andrew Vaughn. The first at-bat for the Brewers' return in the Aaron Civale deal is a three-run homer off Yoshinobu Yamamoto.

Did not have this one on my bingo card ahead of a matchup of NL all-star pitchers. Yoshinobu Yamamoto didn't make it out of the first inning. The Brewers hung five runs on him before he recorded the third out, all with two outs. Two were unearned after a Mookie Betts error.

Freddy Peralta is fired up. A day after being named an all-star, he strands two in the sixth inning to cap six shutout frames tonight against the best offense in the National League. All in all, one of his best outings of the year.

Christian Yelich is now just two homers away from his first 20-homer season since 2019.
