Works are progressing well at our Knockbracken Storm Overflow Upgrade for NI Water in Belfast. The construction of the 940m3 stormwater storage tank and pipeline are complete. When commissioned this will increase the network capacity and improve water quality in Carryduff River.

Some continued investment at DAWSON-WAM with the arrival of TWO new CAT 320 excavators, a new Wacker Neuson dual view dumper, and a new DPU3050He compactor plate. We’ve also extended our workshop facility, with one of our 75t ABI TM22s first to track in to this new space

Progress in Omagh! We’re hard at work constructing FRC sludge tanks for Northern Ireland Water, built on top of newly installed piled foundations just outside Omagh. These tanks are a key part of improving wastewater treatment infrastructure, ensuring long-term sustainability and efficiency.

DAWSON-WAM recently delivered a challenging piling scheme on the A43 near Syresham for Morgan Sindall Construction Infrastructure and National Highways, installing 60nr 450mm diameter piles to stabilise an embankment, with all piles rock socketed into the limestone bedrock.

April and May seen two of our teams along with our RTG27S and RTG25S rigs complete piling work for Grahams on their IREACH project on the Lisburn Road, within the grounds of Belfast City Hospital. Read more on LinkedIn!

Early start for our team who captured the morning sunrise whilst carrying out inspection works on Northern Ireland Water wastewater network. This historical section of the network crosses under a section of the railway line and M2 Motorway in North Belfast.

Last Friday we said goodbye to Raymond Boyd, a cornerstone of our Plant Dept, retiring after 42 years of service at DAWSON WAM. Known for his skill, quality & personality, Raymond helped build the Carryduff workshop, literally & figuratively. Thank you, Raymond! 👏 #ThankYou

This week we welcomed new student civil engineers to Dawson WAM! After induction, Ross Williamson & Gareth Crawford, both former students themselves, guided site visits to Belfast's new Children's Hospital and a key Northern Ireland Water project. Excited to support these future engineers!
