Show and tell was definitely memorable today, the year 4 crew got to see a snakes’ skin! It was interesting to discuss how the shedding of skin links in with our learning enquiry about ā€˜How do animals survive?’.

I just couldn’t choose a single hot choc champ this week, so I had to pick 2! Year 4’s hot choc champs were chosen for their efforts to always make the right choice and for their enthusiasm and passion for music and dance! Well done 🤩

What a fab start, Year 3 have really impressed me by coming back with such a great attitude. We have been learning about having a growth mindset and facing challenges with a positive attitude. Here is our first class poem inspired by ā€˜Come to the edge’ by Christopher Logue.

As scientists, we have explored different circuits, predicted whether they would light up a lightbulb and then tested our predictions. We found, to make a complete circuit, everything needs to be connected. Julie Ford Emma Hardy Smith @ St.Anne’s

As scientists, year 3 investigated materials to see which would be best for a reflective book bag. We have decided that combining fluorescent material and mirrors would make the most reflective book bag. Emma Kelly Julie Ford

As musicians, year 3 have been creating soundscapes to go along with an animation. They have been thinking about pitch and dynamics to show the emotions and atmosphere.

What a fantastic start to 2025 Year 3 are having. They've come back refreshed, with a great hard working attitude. We are all very excited to be starting our swimming lessons on Thursday this week, so don't forget your swimming kits!

Year 3 are loving their djembe lessons so far! We have had to use careful looking and listening to respond to the call of the lead drum. Not bad for only our second week! Emma Hardy Smith @ St.Anne’s

Year 3 have been investigating the human skeleton. Today we asked the question ā€˜Can people with the longest arms throw the furthest?’ We practised our scientific skills of measuring and comparing.
