Composite four-star offensive lineman Day'jon Moore has committed to Maryland. The Willis High School (TX) attendee initially committed to Pitt on June 15th, but flipped his commitment to Maryland yesterday. He's the Terps' 10th commitment in the class of 2026.

Good nugget on Kaunas in this story heading into day two of the draft. Kaunas said he’ll likely turn pro if taken in the first four rounds, but is ready to attend Maryland if he falls or a team won’t meet his price.

Going out on a limb here, but at this point I’ll predict Ty Kaunas and Bud Coombs will both be playing at Bob Smith Stadium next year. Kaunas is a natural fit at shortstop. Coombs slots in perfectly at centerfield.

The Cincinnati Reds have selected Kyle McCoy with the 234th pick in the eighth round.

Ranked No. 197 by MLB.com, McCoy gives the Reds a left-handed arm that struck out 71 while walking just 21 in 2025, finishing with a 3.32 ERA. McCoy is the first Maryland draft pick in the Matt Swope era.
