Composite four-star offensive lineman Day'jon Moore has committed to Maryland. The Willis High School (TX) attendee initially committed to Pitt on June 15th, but flipped his commitment to Maryland yesterday. He's the Terps' 10th commitment in the class of 2026.

Buzz Williams announces the additions of Josh Chambers and TJ Ryan — director of process and director of basketball strategy and analytics, respectively. Both joined Williams’ staff at Virginia Tech, followed him to Texas A&M and now join him in College Park.

What would it mean for Kyle McCoy to get drafted? I caught up with the lefty about his Draft Combine experience and what’s on his mind heading into the draft.

Commitment from the Terps. Another arm for Matt Swope and Jimmy Jackson — Torres had a 9.84 ERA in two years at Seton Hall, including 35 strikeouts. He tossed a 4.66 ERA his freshman year, including three starts.

Before a diving accident paralyzed him, Tim Strachan was ranked alongside Peyton Manning. After it, he became a broadcaster, attorney and the most resilient person many met. He passed away Tuesday. I spoke with those around him about his remarkable life dbknews.com/2025/07/10/mar…

Ahead of the MLB Draft, here’s what I’m hearing on potential Terps. Kyle McCoy could go in rounds 3–7 in a weak class for lefty arms. Alex Calarco is a possible late-rounder after his 19-HR season. Incoming freshmen Ty Kaunas and Bud Coombs are names to watch.

Kyle McCoy will likely hear his name called in the next two days during the MLB Draft. As he reflects on his time in College Park, here’s what he had to say about the legacy he hopes to leave behind.

Good nugget on Kaunas in this story heading into day two of the draft. Kaunas said he’ll likely turn pro if taken in the first four rounds, but is ready to attend Maryland if he falls or a team won’t meet his price.

Going out on a limb here, but at this point I’ll predict Ty Kaunas and Bud Coombs will both be playing at Bob Smith Stadium next year. Kaunas is a natural fit at shortstop. Coombs slots in perfectly at centerfield.

Ranked No. 197 by MLB.com, McCoy gives the Reds a left-handed arm that struck out 71 while walking just 21 in 2025, finishing with a 3.32 ERA. McCoy is the first Maryland draft pick in the Matt Swope era.

MLB scouts swarmed Kyle McCoy in high school — until an elbow injury derailed his draft hopes and sidelined him all of his sophomore year at Maryland. In 2025, he answered every question. Now, he’s an eighth-round pick by the Cincinnati Reds. dbknews.com/2025/07/14/mar…

Kyle McCoy is officially a Cincinnati Red. The lefty shares his thoughts after being picked in the 8th round by the Cincinnati Reds yesterday. "All I've ever wanted was an opportunity to showcase my ability. And fortunately, the Reds front office gave me an opportunity here to do that."

Three-star WR Jayden Kitchens has committed to Maryland. He is the Terps' first WR commit in the Class of 2026. Kitchens attended Riverdale Baptist School (Md.) for his junior season and will play his senior season at The St. James Performance Academy in Washington, D.C.

Eddie Hacopian signs with the Frontier League’s Washington Wild Things. The former Terp hit .325 with 148 RBI and 164 runs in his college career. Undrafted and once overlooked out of high school, he’s got another shot to prove himself.
