50X stronger than heroin, fentanyl is a powerful opioid. Columbus Assistant Special Agent in Charge Brian Mulcahy partnered with WKYC 3News to bring this story of how a father lost his daughter to fentanyl, which makes its way from precursor chemicals into our communities.

This week, DEADetroit assisted our partners HSI Detroit with immigration enforcement efforts. DEA and its partners are using all of the resources of the federal government to remove criminals from our communities to keep Americans safe.

Today the DEA Columbus District Office participated in the Ohio Narcotics Intelligence Center Law Enforcement Drug Summit, bringing together law enforcement from around Ohio to discuss drug trends and identify areas of collaboration.



As a part of our community outreach mission, last week DEADetroit participated in the On the Front Lines Dayton S.W.A.P. (Socialize With a Purpose). Reducing the desire for illicit drugs is a vital component to effectively reduce drug use in our nation.


In May, DEA agents in Cleveland seized more than 100 pounds of THC-infused products. THC-laced edibles are often disguised as popular snack foods and it may be difficult for kids to differentiate between the two. News 5 Cleveland shares this warning for parents.
