Our CEO, Lyn Pornaro, spoke to STV News to highlight serious concerns about the government’s revised welfare plans and their impact on disabled people. We are deeply concerned that these plans create a two-tier system that unfairly penalises future claimants.

🚨 Our Convenor, Zara Todd, was on BBC Radio Scotland today discussing the shortage of accessible housing in Scotland. Lack of accessible homes leads to isolation and limits work, social life, and independence. 👉 Listen back from 36 minutes in: bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m0…

📢The wrong questions are being asked say Glasgow Disability Alliance members - it's not as simple as reducing the benefits bill - it's about having a Plan to tackle barriers & supporting disabled people to have a full & meaningful life of participation and choices - including support to work.

Disability Pride Month begins today✨ Now in its 35th year, this is time to celebrate the creativity, resilience, and achievements of disabled people. It's a chance to embrace disability identity positively, and challenge the negative attitudes that hold disabled people back.

Government backtracking and concessions makes it ever more clear: this bill is not fit for purpose, and does not even have the support of their own party. MPs must vote against it!

Incensed so many MPs chose to ignore #DPOs & the disabled people they are supposed to represent, by voting for the rushed & unjust UC & PIP Bill. Concessions were made, but hundreds of thousands will still lose out. We will continue to fight this attack on disabled people.

Thanks to those MPs who listened to disabled ple & were courageous and honest in voting to bring down the unjust, unfair and unethical UC & PIP BILL.
