So happy to see this in print! #robotic #lungtransplant has the potential to make our patient’s lives dramatically better— it is reproducible and affords amazing visibility and dexterity.

There were some questions on what the incision from a #robotic #lungtransplant really looks like (with pt permission). This is a recent one we did, 5-6 cm incision (to insert the donor lung), no rib spreading. Much easier on the patient! #ISHLT2025 #transplant

This is why The ISHLT is amazing. Surgeons from the first #robotic heart transplant and first robotic #lungtransplant bumping into each other and talking all things robotic. What a great meeting! #ISHLT2025
