A huge congratulations to DIAS Professor Caitriona Jackman, who received a Royal Astronomical Society honorary fellowship this week, for her outstanding service and leadership of planetary magnetospheric physics in Ireland, the UK, and internationally 🌍 #DIASDiscovers
Back on track & ready for Venus! ✅📍 After the successful resolution of a communication anomaly, ESA's Juice mission is on course for its Venus flyby at 07:28 CEST on 31 August. 1/3
The ESA's Juice mission mission (with involvement from the Planetary Magnetosphere's Group) is on track for its gravity-assist flyby at Venus on 31 August! 🛰️
Reminder that ESA's Juice mission flies past Venus this weekend. The spacecraft was designed to feel at home in the cold, dark environment of the Jupiter system, and it is too hot at Venus to turn the cameras on. Pics or it didn’t happen? You’ll have to trust us on this one.
Congratulations to Prof. Prof. Caitriona Jackman for establishing the Ukrainian Researchers Network, connecting displaced researchers supported by Research Ireland The inaugural event took place last week at Research Ireland’s HQ, with special guest H.E. Larysa Gerasko, Ambassador of Ukraine 🇺🇦
