I've never seen a place like this where the people know so little but only want to listen to people who tell them what they want to hear and literally steal their money. Got cut at a bunch of NAHL camps? Yeah, sure that USHL team definitely really wants you.

Ohhhhh so you're going to play Premier but practice with NCDC and get NCDC games .... rightttttttttt. Never heard that one before.

DMV players…actually ALL players need to take this advice. Go where you’re wanted. Not where you’re going to play third/fourth line minutes. Also can’t have the ego— respond to the coaches that aren’t sending blanket messages. Thank them for reaching out. If you don’t play for

We woke up today and it’s almost August. A little 3 on 3 2/3 ice breakout under pressure drill with former Stevenson NCAA D3 coach Tori Emoff. NCAA D3 player George Haigley with the finish. Time to ramp it up. Season starts soon. We’re here every Tuesday/Thurs. Come join us!

The number of kids I've helped who go on to bigger and better things and then ghost me until they are in a bind and need help from me (for free of course) would probably astound most of you. They complain about being mistreated by coaches & teams but do the same stuff to others.

But the ones who you truly help achieve something they couldn't have on their own and are truly grateful and continue give back and to help other players coming up behind them make it worth it - to me at least.

That said, much of this is caused by parents of kids who are 16, 17, 18 & 19 being WAY too involved & pushing the kids & asking a million people questions of people until they hear what they want to hear. Kids have no idea how to interact & coaches don't want to deal w/parents.

I was that parent. Trust me. I learned quickly & want to help others learn from our mistakes. That's always been the goal. It doesn't make me happy to tell someone that their kid shouldn't chase NAHL camps or isn't going to be a D1 player. Just trying to help people not waste $.

DMV Hockey Prospects This area is full of kids 15 years old and up who are solid players but there just are not any stars. 98% of them aren’t going to play D-1 or high level Junior, but their parents just don’t have a clue. I see it every weekend in every AA and AAA game I ref.

This article is bananas. NHL teams are supposed to grow the game in their areas, not this. While there are two sides to every story with hockey parents, if only half the things in this article are true the Stars need a major reset in their leadership. usatoday.com/story/news/inv…

A message I've been stressing with 16/18U players for years that unfortunately often is ignored. I usually start getting the first calls and texts from kids who were sold a bill of goods and are getting scratched in early October each year.
