From the earliest days, people have been searching to understand how to make sense of suffering. Some are angered by it. Some broken by it. But for the grateful follower of Jesus the adversity is the path of trusting alignment with the King, our Suffering Servant.

My brother prayed and meditated on the truth of this verse until his final day. His example of trusting in God’s unfailing love is a beautiful example of trusting Jesus in adversity. Our family mourns, yet we are committed to honoring Dave by living surrendered to Jesus.
