DRPS facilitated a 6-week culinary program with a local high school and elementary school, teaching youth how to cook. This program was graciously supported by Liz’s No Frills, Conroy’s No Frills and Qais’ No Frills. Thank you for your support of the youth in our community.

Early this morning, Central West Division officers were conducting proactive patrol in the downtown core of Whitby. The driver of the motor vehicle was under 3 separate criminal code driving suspensions for life and was arrested for over 80. Vehicle has been impounded for 90 days. #MADD

Thanks to the assistance of our partners at Oshawa By-Law and Provincial Animal Welfare Services, an investigation has led to 8 dogs being removed from a home and a 48-year-old male charged. DM

Police are concerned there may be more victims after a male approached youth in a public washroom at Heydenshore Kiwanis Park in Whitby. Investigators are urging anyone who had an interaction with the suspect to come forward. DM
