A technical achievement! Huge photosynthetic 'megacomplex' solved **in situ** from sub tomogram averaging using cryo-ET data. Microscopy & Spectroscopy Amira software used for segmentation alongside many other software packages. In situ structure determination is still rare. Exciting!

Lot of new Arnold content on Netflix. Just want to remind everyone of the most iconic Arnold moment: the end of Running Man. Arnold wins...and you think, "how could this get better?" Then you hear it....it's John Parr's Restless Heart. Perfection. youtu.be/rdglEovz3Z0

Nothing is worse than seeing sick kiddos that need an escape (i.e., video games) but couldn't gain access to one. If you can (absolutely no pressure!), please consider donating to our fundraiser for a Starlight Game Cart, in memory of our Idabelle. give.cincinnatichildrens.org/site/TR?px=154…

A great, fully-funded MS position to work on patch-nosed salamanders @ Clemson University with Dr. Cathy Jachowski, but also working closely with our lab here at KSU. Share with folks who might be interested! wfscjobs.tamu.edu/jobs/m-s-assis…

Re-upping this ad after losing applicants to long-term gigs (🎉 for them!). Please share with any PhD/Postdoc who might be interesting in genomics, amphibians, bioinformatics, teaching, and mentoring. Reach out to learn more!

Congrats on the new publication journals.asm.org/doi/10.1128/ms… from our herptile microbiome project team. Especially big congrats to Lluvia Vargas Donny M. Walker, PhD who lead and mentored the team for these dataset analysis expertly!

Delighted to share there will be a symposium on unisexual salamanders at SSAR 2024! A great line up of folks studying how these crazy animals challenge the way we look at ideas in evolution, ecology, conservation, physiology, and genomics. sites.lsa.umich.edu/ummz-ssar2024/…

Thanks for the book Stanley E. Trauth. 13 years in the display case and only 7 more on your book shelf! Still the best larval key in a state herp book. Wonder how long it will take to get a free copy of the 2nd edition?
