DYME 2023 kicked off this morning with our first plenary talk by Prof. Andrew Weller Andrew Weller. We're very happy to be welcoming over 120 delegates to Birmingham UoBChemistry for this event for Early Career Researchers in Inorganic Chemistry.
Huge congratulations to Josef Boronski, the recipient of the 2023 Dalton Emerging Researcher Award 🥳 Royal Society of Chemistry #RSCPrizes We are honoured to be presenting this award at DYME, and with his wonderful talk on homometallic bonds we have just wrapped up session 2 of DYME

The careers-focused session at DYME was a success with talks from Dr Kanja from the Select Committee and Dr Hay from the NNL. Followed by a panel session on careers in and outside academia, with Sarah Pike and Cowley Group. Thank you to Andy Jupp for chairing!
Michael Cowley (Cowley Group) brought the 2023 DYME session to a close, with the final plenary lecture on the Phospha-bora-Wittig reaction and some insightful thoughts on what he's learned along his career. Thank you to all our plenary speakers!
