Some people puzzled as to how to square AstraZeneca's 94% here with the 62% efficacy from trial data. Simple: 62% was reduction in cases, 94% is reduction in hospital admissions. Or in other words 62% reduction in being infected, vs 94% reduction in becoming seriously ill.
