‘The number of paramedics has increased by 13% since March 2018. But sickness absence, commonly attributed to poor mental health, has increased from 5% in March 2019 to 9% in March 2022 – the highest rate of any organisation type within the NHS.’

Great paper looking at RH and Temp. Super interesting finding around potentially respirable aerosols (mid-size) carrying much more virus than final particle size would suggest i.e. evaporation increases viral concentration.

Anxiety can affect anybody. Less than half (48.2%) of people with generalised anxiety disorder access treatment. This #MensHealthWeek, know that anybody can self-refer to the wellbeing service. Link for NSW 👇🏻 + CALM Samaritans are ready to 🗣️ wellbeingnands.co.uk/norfolk/get-su…

Presented virtually at the East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust and ImpACT’s online celebration event for the aspiring and consultant practitioner programme yesterday. DYK that just 11% of ACPs report being involved in research, leading to the conclusion that it is a neglected area of focus 🧐

Seeing a few posts from UK Ambulance Services about how they’re supporting staff to meet the four pillars of advanced practice. Simply stating what the pillars are tells us nothing. Let’s see job plans, time allocation and examples of activities being done in each.✌🏻

Research (systematic review) shows that OHCA in severely frail patients (CFS 6-9) is almost non-survivable - just 1 out of 96 patients survived (Hamlyn et al., 2022). Should future guidelines include severe frailty as a reason to consider pre-hospital CPR as futile? 🤔
