We celebrated Ada Lovelace Day yesterday in school, with a fantastic themed lunch and during registration students learnt about the impact Ada Lovelace had on computing. We are also running a competition - closing date is Monday 16 October.

On Thursday 12 October we welcomed Year 7 families into school for an information evening. Our Year 7 students have settled in well and it was lovely to meet new families and see familiar faces. We look forward to watching the students progress during their time with us.

We were so pleased to see many students, parents and carers attending our Sixth Form Information Evening last night. Presentations included UCAS and Careers support as well as a focus on how we are supporting students in the Sixth Form to make the most out of their study periods.

Football result: Year 7 & 9 County Cup v Ulverston (H) Year 7, unfortunately lost on penalties after battling back from 4-1 down to draw the game 4-4. Year 9, won 2-0, goals from Short and Sonko. We will play Queen Katherine School in the next round!

On Tue 31 Oct, our Year 11 students attended a Sixth Form Subject Fayre, led by our Subject Ambassadors. They were able to visit stands with information about the subjects we offer in our Sixth Form and complete a quiz. Winners of the quiz will be announced next week in assembly.
