While I’m regularly critical of BBC radio, it’s only fair that I give credit where it’s due. Overnight, I listened to the Belfast-born presenter Lisa McCormick on BBC Radio 5 Live. She was so relaxed and her handling of callers was first-class. Presenters like this should be treasured.

“You’re the savior of the people, you bring tears to my eyes.” “No no, you saved Europe.” “My hero.” “No, you are our hero.” “I pray for you.” Heartbreaking between Volodymyr Zelenskyy / Володимир Зеленський & a #DDay veteran, who knows the cost. He kisses his hand & won’t let go.

Alan Stout 100%. Makes zero sense not to prioritise gatekeepers. Throwing good £ after bad via WLI without reforms of “NHS” system. Secondary care changes directed by those who don’t understand good, efficient care. Lack of funding for what makes clinical sense. Instead goes to shiny things

I called Matt Chorley show on BBC Radio 5 Live to express my despair with this #AssistedDying vote. Almost no one speaking has actually spent time with someone having a good end of life experience so this really reflects underinvestment in palliative care & poor experience as

BMI doesn’t seem to be a hindrance to good outcomes with peritoneal dialysis! Important to bust this bias. Great work Michael Corr
