Amazing work from RDM Oxford - hyperpolarised C13 pyruvate cardiac spectroscopy in the human heart. Unlike PET which shows you uptake of a tracer, this allows the metabolic fates of the labelled compound to be visualised in real time. The applications are massive. Circulation Research
