The trees keep coming, so we will keep working with communities to cultivate a positive culture of tree planting UNDP Zimbabwe #GEF6. This week we recieved 2,300 Tommy Atkins mangoe trees. For every 100 indigenous trees planted, community recieve five free mangoe grafted plants

In March, The Utariri Programme partners hosted the Sweden in Zimbabwe 🇸🇪 Ambassador on the first anniversary field visit in Mbire and Muzarabani. The Ambassador interacted with community members to appreciate challenges ranging from livelihoods to, climate change to human wildlife conflict.


Women are at the centre of both Sweden in Zimbabwe 🇸🇪 and DCA - National's strategy to address climate change and to build resilient communities.

With the generous support of Sweden in Zimbabwe 🇸🇪 and Denmark MFA 🇩🇰 the The Utariri Programme 7.2km Chawarura piped water scheme, officially commissioned in March 2024, is bringing clean water to more than 4,000 people in Muzarabani. fb.watch/qWF-xcE6XV/

DCA Zimbabwe last week hosted focus group discussions in Ushewokunze, Harare South, together with the EU Civil Protection & Humanitarian Aid 🇪🇺 & stakeholders from different Government departments to appreciate the state of social service provision and available interventions to ensure noone is left behind.


DCA Zimbabwe continues to promote urban-to-rural market linkages through the Urban Resilience Project funded by WFP Zimbabwe The intervention is bringing rural & peri-urban farmers together to connect & create synergies while improving local livelihoods. Well Done Team 👏

@DCAZimbabwe had the privilege of hosting Folkekirkens Nødhjælp Parish Collection team in October. In true Christian spirit we worked together side by side with local communities to fetch water, grow mushrooms and tend to their gardens, breaking barriers and building bridges of hope.


Today, @DCAZimbabwe together with Folkekirkens Nødhjælp are conducting gender training in Bulawayo for partners and stakeholders, to ensure gender sensitive approaches to reducing poverty and addressing social ills in communities. #sdggender
