South 8, Lakeview 1 behind strong pitching from Jack Danielewicz ‘26 & a HR from Henry Domzalski ‘25 (vid). Finals against winner of Grosse Pointe North Baseball & Hamtramck is at 2:30 at GPN.

South outlasted Western in 8 innings, 3-0, to advance to the Sweet 16 and Saturdays regional final at Woodhaven. Jack Danielewicz ‘26 went 7 scoreless w 8 K & only 2 H allowed for the W. Jack Lupo ‘25 & Dane Lezotte ‘26 had multi-hit games. Charlie Michelotti ‘27 got the save.

Congrats to Coach Griesbaum on landing win #950 in today’s regional semi-final. He is the 5th coach all-time to reach this mark & the only active to do so. Also of note from today’s W, GPS tied the 2018 team for the program’s overall win record with 33.
