A real-world story about how we adapt to the AI era, not by resisting it, but by harnessing it: a high school English teacher was frustrated that her students were using AI to cheat in writing their essays, so she turned the tables. She assigned the students to go home & train

This is such a frightening prospect. But at the same time, generated text has been directly optimizable in theory (based on metrics) and we’re not *totally* drowning in slop.

I feel like a good gimmick for some work of epistolary fiction would be a novel in the form of the protagonist’s conversations with AI. Has anyone prominent done this?

I wonder if the danger with people relying on AI for personal problems isn’t that they’re sycophantic or randomly tell you unconstructive things but that people shouldn’t have *that* much therapy. Like there should be a bit more friction.
