On the way to Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory for the Regulatory & Non-Coding RNAs meeting, transfer in Dublin meant a Guiness had to be bought...

Move to Sheffield complete! Thanks to all who made Newcastle such a great place to live and do research, especially NUBI_YoungLab ! Looking forward to starting a new project in Sheffield in the next few weeks with @delaevanio and Mirre Simons !

The thesis is finally submitted! Thanks for all the support over the last 4 years NUBI_YoungLab and Skeletal_Research_Group, see you at the viva (and in the pub afterwards)!

Enjoyed giving a talk today on miR-324 and bone formation from my PhD in the NUBI_YoungLab at the #nepg2022 today!

Excellent conference NEPG Conference 2025 followed by an excellent curry and catch up with friends from Sheffield and Newcastle!

Really excited to say that I successfully defended my PhD thesis yesterday! Massive thanks to NUBI_YoungLab for the supervision over the past 4 years, and to all the Skeletal_Research_Group research group for making the lab such a fun place to do research!

A successful night for team Fosh and the Jute Fries at the @ShefUni_IICD PGR pub quiz tonight with @delaevanio and members from Mirre Simons lab! A worthy prize as well!

Had a great time up in Newcastle yesterday graduating from my PhD with helendietmar and Marjolein Burgers! Thanks to NUBI_YoungLab Michael Briggs 🔬🏏🎸🐝🦔🍺🌱 Reynard Lab - Newcastle University and Kasia Pirog for coming and supporting us whilst also wearing silly robes!

Work from the second half of my PhD is now out as a pre-print, with NUBI_YoungLab Francesca Johnson Brito Kasia Pirog Ian Clark Jamie Soul and other non-twitterers! We show that by deleting miR-324 in mice we see changes to bone microstructure, through direct regulation of Runx2.

In a week in which #microRNA discovery wins a Nobel prize, here's our new small contribution to these amazing little molecules! Great team science led by Dan Hayman doi.org/10.1016/j.bone… CIMA @NUBiosciences Skeletal_Research_Group
