Thursday, 5 Dec 2024. Beached Bird surveyor / volunteer Jane Hardy (Crazy seal lady/ BDMLR Medic) travelled many miles this icy morning to help NCL Dove Marine Lab. Jane helped by recording, labelling, bagging, weighing, etc. We processed a first-year male razorbill, found Feb 2021 by surveyor Peter Collins.

Following Storm Darragh (Dec 2024), beached bird surveyor Tom Patterson found remains of five little auks on the Northumberland shore. He collected two intact specimens with care in case of bird flu (photo: Tom with two bagged little auks). @NENature_ Northumberland & Tyneside Bird Club Northumberland Wildlife Trust
