Well even though I didn’t make Day 2 yesterday at the RC at Star City Games SCG CON #SCGMINN I was still reasonably happy to come back from 0-3 to 5-4 on a deck (Izzet Prowess) that is different for me. Time for the Standard $10K today and I’ll be at table 240!

I had referenced the massively comprehensive Amulet Titan guide by Dom Harvey (docs.google.com/document/d/1qO… ) & had coaching from him but had not had the chance to meet Dom Harvey in person until Star City Games SCG CON #SCGMINN which is one of the great things about these events!

It was great seeing Jim Davis at Star City Games SCG CON #SCGMINN on one of his breaks from commentating and I look forward to catching up on the coverage when I am back home!

So I finally made it back to Minneapolis - after my appendix had other ideas 2 years ago - but this time my appendix didn’t exist to stop me and after Star City Games SCG CON #SCGMINN I’m taking some time to check out Mall of America for the first time! What should I see?

Being inside Mall of America is the first time I can remember being in an indoor mall (we don’t have many of those in San Diego …)

I made the Top 4 of the Star City Games SCG CON Modern RCQ at On-Board Gaming today! Sadly I lost in the semifinals of the 2-slot event but it went all the way to game 3!

I had such a fun time playtesting Riftbound with Mel Capperino-Garcia and Frank Skarren at Riot Games last week! Thank you to everyone for spending the time and I look forward to seeing the updated cards at Gen Con and its release in October!

On the way back from my last RCQ I stopped off and got a giant ICEE Gummy, which is perfect since I love both those things!

Even though I am traveling I managed to fit in a #MTGxFINALFANTASY prerelease at King Kong Comics and Games in Dublin, CA! I managed to pull a Traveling Chocobo, so that was cool and the set looks awesome!

Today marks the 11-year anniversary of when I learned to play Magic: The Gathering ! This game has taught me many things & given me many friends! I am grateful because I don’t know what my life would look like without it. Also, happy Father’s Day esp. to my amazing dad Adam Fischer !
