So happy that the Plymouth City Council planning committee refused the application of Classic Builders SW Ltd to build houses on Wilmot Gardens Community Green! Huge thanks to Open Spaces Society for supporting the residents in their fight.

Did you know Britain is home to 18 species of bat ๐Ÿฆ‡ The noctule, our largest bat, weighs as little as four ยฃ1 coins. The smallest, the pipistrelle, weighs as little as a 2p coin. Small but mighty ๐ŸŒ™โœจ

The way yimbys treat affordable housing is all the proof you need that they donโ€™t really care about making housing affordable. Itโ€™s never been about house prices.

Just a reminder that these people telling you billionaires shouldnโ€™t be taxed are the same people supporting these astroturf โ€˜growthโ€™ and yimby groups that are pushing for environmental regulations to be removed so developers can profit at the expense of our endangered species

Folks have been shooting down this filtering theory since the 1930s. Trickle-down housing was wrong then, and it is wrong now. cambridge.org/core/journals/โ€ฆ

Very much so. This is ridiculous gaslighting, the idea that our most irreplaceable habitats like ancient woodland can be replaced, compensated for.

CommunityPlanningAlliance ๐Ÿฆ‡๐ŸฆŽ The number of ecology reports I've read that include 'planting new ancient woodland'... saying that a larger area of whips is better than the existing ancient woodland. But there's no cost benefit to preserving habitats, so on we go, destroying everything for the feckin economy.
