I like that predatory journals have upped their game from wanting me to re-publish an article with them, to now telling me my article is award winning in an attempt to get me to engage with them. I can pretend to myself this is career progression

Writing the 2nd book feels simultaneously easier and harder than writing the 1st. On the one hand, I definitely have the skillset to do it much quicker now, on the other I also have less patience & motivation. Definitely prefer the (relatively) quick win of publishing articles

I wonder if council results in ultra safe seats like this will scare Labour. Losing votes to left and right could see many seats lost in more marginal northern constituencies in both local and national elections.
