Our hearts are crushed as we learn of the loss of Jordan Sims, who was tragically swept away by floodwaters in Albemarle County. Suzanne and I are lifting-up in prayer Jordan’s family, friends and the entire community in this most difficult time. Thank you to the first responders

Good news when it comes to the latest drought monitor. Still quite dry across northern Virginia but big improvements due to recent rainfall. More rain to come over the next few days which will continue to improve drought conditions across the commonwealth.

Hot cars are not cool! Rising summer temperatures can quickly turn deadly for anyone left inside a parked vehicle — even when parked in the shade or with the windows cracked. If you see anyone in a dangerous situation, call 911. #LookBeforeYouLock
