Visiting our #seedling propagator in Kisumu, output & quality have greatly improved! Demand is rising fast, even from households growing for home use & local sales. Encouraging to see local food systems strengthening under CGIAR ‘s #futurefrontiers and #Security initiative.

Last week we visited FIPS Africa ‘s seedling unit where our 2 PCN-resistant potato lines are being multiplied via stem cuttings & shared with youth groups in Njoro, Kenya. With strong partnerships, these promising lines are well on their way to reaching farmers soon!
