Our team is in Zambia building capacity on Potato Cyst Nematode diagnostics and sample processing for government officials under the STDF project, aimed at strengthening national detection and management of this key potato pest. Last week we visited FIPS Africa ‘s seedling unit where our 2 PCN-resistant potato lines are being multiplied via stem cuttings & shared with youth groups in Njoro, Kenya. With strong partnerships, these promising lines are well on their way to reaching farmers soon!
