BREAKING: Kevin McCarthy just officially lost his bid to be Speaker of the House after the first round of votes with at least 5 Republicans who have voted against him so far. It’s been 100 years since something like this has happened. Republicans in absolute chaos & disarray.

Rep. Andy Harris votes for Lee Zeldin, which makes 11 Republicans that have voted against McCarthy. Jeffries is now going to get more votes on the first ballot than Kevin but you need a majority to win so it will still fail.

We need to talk about Kevin. Unprecedented: GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy (R) will not win the speaker's gavel on the first ballot.

Welp, six Republicans have voted Jim Jordan on the second ballot and we once again did not make it out of the C last names before McCarthy lost the votes to be Speaker.
