The Energy Ireland Conference is an excellent event with a strong all-island focus. I am very pleased, on behalf of the Irish Government, to join Caoimhe Archibald MLA in reaffirming our shared commitment to the North-South Interconnector, as consented. shorturl.at/4conX

A brilliant day in Donabate celebrating 200 years of unbroken education at St Patrick’s Boys National School. Great to mark this milestone with the whole school community — and an Taoiseach Micheál Martin ! 🎉📚

Delighted to attend my first EU Energy Council in Luxembourg. Key focus on energy security, affordability, and strengthening renewables — all while working together to reduce dependence on imported fossil fuels 🇪🇺⚡ Department of Climate, Energy and the Environment

Looking forward to engaging with EU colleagues today at the Environment Council. Important discussions ahead on the circular economy, 2040 climate targets, and Ireland’s priorities as we work together toward shared environmental goals🌍🇪🇺 Department of Climate, Energy and the Environment

Very good to chat with 🇮🇪 Minister Darragh O'Brien on the margins of the #ENVI Council in 🇱🇺. We exchanged views on the ongoing preparations for the 2040 target and the EU's Nationally Determined Contribution, as well as the need to address both climate and business issues.

Two busy and constructive days in Luxembourg for EU Energy and Environment Council meetings. The key focus has been on energy affordability, grid investment, and accelerating climate action. Ireland’s ambition and progress were well recognised by colleagues 🇮🇪🇪🇺 Department of Climate, Energy and the Environment

Great to see sustainability taking centre stage at the summer concerts in Malahide Castle & Gardens . A deposit and return reusable cup scheme will be trialled throughout the concert series and is a brilliant example of innovative and impactful community action by Fingal County Council.
