It is essential that biofuel imports are required to meet the strict sustainability criteria under the EU Renewable Energy Directive. The regulations removing national incentives for supply of POME-derived biofuel are a key step in addressing concerns about its use.

Housing remains our top priority — backed by record investment in grid, water, and core infrastructure under PR6. We are delivering a balanced, plan-led approach to energy use that safeguards space for homes, attracts foreign direct investment, and supports innovation.

Pleased to announce a 40% reduction in the Renewable Electricity PSO Levy for 2025/2026. This means real savings for households and small businesses — while still supporting vital investment in clean, secure energy.
