A great meeting with the Infectious Diseases Modelling group at the BMGF. We discussed strategies for strengthening data systems and building capacity in dynamic modelling and data science at APHRC and in the entire African ecosystem. We are so grateful to Wellcome Connecting Science Learning and Training for buying into this vision of building capacity in Africa, helping to formulate this strategy, funding the workshop & co-organising it. The future of genomics in Africa lies in the capacity to generate & analyse large-scale genomic data. 3/3
