David Bookbinder This treats tenants and members with contempt. There was no need for Reidvale to close the Neighbourhood Centre in the first place. And now the firesale and dismantling of this community-controlled housing association is being presented as a fait accompli before a ballot is cast.

Weāre partnering with University of Strathclyde to produce materials to support factors in improving their ability to #retrofit properties and to help #tenement flat owners better engage with factors to improve the #energyefficiency of their homes.

David Bookbinder The housng supply budget cut is almost identical to the cost of the council tax freeze and the CT freeze is twice the value of the additional forecast income tax receipts. We do need more borrowing and multi year investment powers for Scotland but not unnecessary constraints.

Well Ashley Campbell I think we all know whoās not been offering many actions on this! Retrofit/clean heat on a large scale wonāt happen without subsidy for owners & social landlords. How else can costs often over Ā£40k per home be afforded? Ministersā heads still in the sandā¦.

The view south from the fabulous new development by ā¦West of Scotland H.Aā© at Port Dundas, featuring 90 homes for mid market rent, built to very high (Passivhaus) energy efficiency standards. Part-funded by ā¦Glasgow City Councilā© through the SGās affordable housing supply programme.

On top of the FM resisting calls for housing to be explicitly within a Cabinet portfolio, the ministerial portfolio that previously included responsibility for a āJust Transitionā to net zero now makes no mention of that - Gillian Martin is now just āMinister for Climate Actionā.

What does the future hold for housing in Govan? Join us for a panel discussion with Kenneth Gibb, Glasgow City Council, Linthouse Hsg Assoc, University of Glasgow, David Bookbinder and local experts on sustainable regeneration, infrastructure, and community-led housing. š 23 October š eventbrite.co.uk/e/govan-bridgiā¦
