In my General Practice role we have issued a statement on the increased use of AI in gen practice. Undoubtedly it may have huge benefits going fwd but we urge caution at moment & will work with NHS England & Department of Health and Social Care to roll this out safely for GPs &our patients cdn.intelligencebank.com/eu/share/qMbw1…

Use of AI in the NHS (and general practice) could revolutionise how we work and save us time. At General Practice we’re not saying ‘no’ - we’re saying let’s not rush this and take the time needed to make it safe & secure. Here’s our thoughts cdn.intelligencebank.com/eu/share/qMbw1…

Hearing from our GP trainees at #LMCConf General Practice about the unbelievable situation of having gone through 10yrs of training there are no jobs for them. Yet patients wait too long to see a GP. Work with us Wes Streeting Stephen Kinnock Department of Health and Social Care to get more solutions to this crisis

How has it come to this... Patients are waiting over 4 weeks to see their GP whilst there are MANY GPs unemployed that could reduce these waits Instead of treating patients in the community, our colleagues are considering employment benefits Wes Streeting #EndGPUnemployment

“I’ve spent 5 years in medical training and then 3 years in GP training. And I have struggled to find employment” Dr Cheska Ball – BMA GP Reg Committee co-Chair – shares why we need to #endGPunemployment now.

The ARRS GP scheme was a quick fix move by Wes Streeting when he started as SoS but it’s not the right way to embed GPs in practices & promote continuity. General Practice have many ideas on how to end the shocking situation of GP under & unemployment we now see. We have a crisis looming

It’s incredible that we have GPs unable to find work - due to inadequate funding for NHS gen practice (we get 6% of NHS budget but see 90% of the daily NHS contacts each day). General Practice stands ready with solutions Wes Streeting Department of Health and Social Care for the Aug deadline. #endGPunemployment
